2,800,000 BBL Capacity | Deepwater | Harsh Environment

The construction study for Project ODYSSEY, a next-generation Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit with a storage capacity of 2.8 million barrels, has officially commenced. Designed for deep-water operations and harsh environmental conditions, the project reflects a strategic collaboration between our offices and engineering partners across the Philippines, Greece, and China.

Our main office in the Philippines, together with our international partners, in Greece and China, is currently finalizing the FPSO hull configuration, structural model, and accommodation design to ensure compliance with operational efficiency, safety, and class requirements.

In parallel, our engineering teams are progressing with the evaluation and integration of the required machinery systems, power generation packages, marine equipment, and advanced automation solutions to support reliable offshore performance and long-term operational sustainability.

Project ODYSSEY is being developed with a strong focus on:

  • Structural integrity for harsh offshore environments
  • Advanced marine and process automation
  • Operational reliability and safety compliance
  • Efficient production and storage capability
  • Future-ready engineering and sustainability standards

This project represents a significant step forward in delivering a high-capacity FPSO solution tailored for modern deep-water energy developments.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does an independent technical assessment involve?

Our assessment process focuses on a comprehensive "health check" of your asset. We evaluate technical records, conduct physical inspections to verify condition against international standards, and identify any discrepancies between current status and operational requirements.

What documentation is required prior to an assessment?

To ensure a efficient survey, we typically review vessel particulars, maintenance logs, recent inspection reports, and safety management system (SMS) documentation. This allows us to focus our on-site time on high-priority technical areas.

How does PAMS Pacific Admiralty Maritime Services assist with inspection readiness?

We provide a "pre-vetting" perspective, identifying common technical gaps that often trigger inspection deficiencies. By reviewing readiness from the perspective of an auditor, we help operators proactively close gaps before official inspections occur.

What should I expect in a final technical report?

You receive an objective, evidence-based report that details the scope of work, findings, and technical observations. We provide clear, actionable recommendations aimed at mitigating risk and ensuring ongoing compliance.

Why is independent consultancy critical for technical opinions?

By remaining strictly independent—free from ties to crewing, manning, or agency services—we provide unbiased assessments. Our goal is to offer stakeholders a transparent, "source-of-truth" technical perspective to support informed commercial decisions.

Our marine surveying practice covers condition assessments, damage investigations, draft surveys, compliance verification, and specialized vessel inspection services for commercial shipping assets.

A comprehensive pre-purchase vessel inspection helps buyers understand structural condition, machinery status, maintenance history, and potential operational risks before acquisition.

We support operators preparing for an OCIMF SIRE 2.0 survey through detailed gap analysis, documentation review, and onboard readiness assessments.

Our RightShip RISQ preparation program assists operators in identifying housekeeping, maintenance, and compliance deficiencies before inspection.

Through our PSC pre-inspection services, vessels can proactively address potential Port State Control deficiencies and improve inspection outcomes.

Our tanker management advisory (TMSA) services support continuous improvement initiatives, management system development, and audit readiness.

PAMS also provides offshore technical consultancy for offshore assets, floating production systems, engineering reviews, and project support.

Our engineering division is actively engaged in FPSO newbuilding consultancy activities including design review, technical evaluation, machinery integration, and compliance verification for offshore developments.
